COVID-19 & Visiting Long-Term Care Homes in Ontario

COVID-19 & Visiting Long-Term Care Homes in Ontario

Ontario long-term care and retirement homes have been particularly hard hit since the novel coronavirus emerged in Ontario. Long-term care professionals have worked tirelessly to keep vulnerable residents healthy, safe and happy.

To those who work in long-term care; thank you for everything you do. The care you provide is immensely important and your efforts are greatly appreciated.

To better protect long-term care residents and those who care for them, the Ontario government issued a policy that all long-term care homes must follow. This policy outlines requirements for essential and general visitors, screening protocols, guiding principles and the responsibilities of long-term care homes.

This policy is available on the Government of Ontario website, and can be accessed by clicking here.

If you have any questions about these policies, we recommend you get in touch with the Ontario provincial government, the Ontario Ministry of Long-Term Care or management at your long-term care or retirement home.

If you can't visit a loved one under this policy, we're still here to help!

If you would like to order adaptive clothing from Geri Fashions for a loved one or patient, you can do so online or by phone. Our warehouse will remain open and continue to ship orders Monday to Friday.

If you need an order shipped directly to a long-term care or retirement home, please select that facilities’ location as the shipping address. We will continue to do our best to get your orders to you as quickly as possible under the current circumstances.

Our customer care team is always available to answer any questions you may have. We also offer a safe curbside pick up option from our office and warehouse in Oakville, Ontario.
